Eligibility

You must be at least 18 years old to create an account. If you're underage, you may only use BantuSphere under parental supervision.

Account Responsibility

You're responsible for keeping your login details secure and for all activities that happen under your account.

Proper Use

Use BantuSphere only for lawful purposes. Don't:

• Copy, modify, or reverse engineer any part of our platform
• Post harmful, illegal, or misleading content
• Interfere with platform performance or security

Jurisdiction

Disputes with Bantu Sphere Pvt Ltd are governed by Zimbabwean law. Disputes with Zimbabwe Accountants International Ltd are governed by English law.

Liability

We provide BantuSphere "as is" and aren't liable for data loss, service interruptions, or indirect damages. Use at your own risk.

Indemnification

You agree to protect us from any claims or damages arising from your use of BantuSphere or violation of these terms.

Public Service & Public Interest Data

BantuSphere displays information relating to public transport vehicles, kombis, buses, taxi routes, ranks, hubs, and pick-up points that operate in public spaces. By their nature, such vehicles, routes, and activities occur in open and publicly accessible environments.

Accordingly, BantuSphere may publish photographs, descriptions, locations, vehicle registration details, colour, seat capacity, and other non-personal data relating to public service vehicles without obtaining prior consent from any driver, operator, owner, marshal, rank authority or association.

This data is collected, processed, and displayed for the legitimate public interest of improving transport safety, accessibility, efficiency, accountability, and passenger wayfinding.

No Expectation of Privacy in Public Spaces

Users, drivers, vehicle owners, operators, and members of the public acknowledge that activities conducted in public spaces—including but not limited to public roads, taxi ranks, kombi ranks, bus terminals, and public transport routes—carry no reasonable expectation of privacy.

Photographs and data captured in these public spaces, including images of vehicles, number plates, colours, and identifiable markings, may lawfully be collected and published by BantuSphere.

Non-Exclusive, Worldwide License for Submitted Content

Any photographs, vehicle details, route information, or related content submitted to BantuSphere by any user, agent, partner, driver, or third party is provided under a non-exclusive, royalty-free, worldwide, sublicensable license for BantuSphere to use, reproduce, display, modify, publish, distribute, verify, or otherwise process such content for the purposes of operating the platform.

Contributors warrant that they have the right to submit the content and that such submission does not violate any third-party rights.

Vehicle Profile Pre-Registration

BantuSphere may create pre-populated profiles for public transport vehicles, kombi operators, routes, ranks, or hubs using publicly observable information, third-party datasets, user submissions, or publicly accessible records.

Owners or operators may request to claim or manage such profiles, but the existence of a pre-populated profile shall not constitute a violation of image rights, privacy, or consent obligations.

Limited Grounds for Removal Requests

BantuSphere does not accept takedown requests for data that is:

• Publicly observable
• In the public interest
• Necessary for wayfinding or transport safety
• Related to vehicles operating as public transport

Requests to remove or alter such information may be declined unless legally required by a valid court order or statutory directive. BantuSphere reserves sole discretion to determine whether a takedown request meets the necessary threshold.

Accuracy & Verification Disclaimer

Data displayed on BantuSphere regarding public transport vehicles, ranks, and routes is provided "as is" without warranties as to accuracy, completeness, or reliability.

BantuSphere does not guarantee that any particular vehicle, driver, or operator is safe, roadworthy, licensed, compliant, or active. Users rely on such information at their own risk.

Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, BantuSphere, its affiliates, directors, employees, and agents shall not be liable for any claims, damages, losses, or liabilities arising from:

• The publication of photographs or data relating to public service vehicles
• Inaccuracies in transport data
• Third-party submissions
• Failure of a driver, owner, operator, or association to provide updated information
• Decisions made by users based on information displayed on the platform

Liability shall be limited to the maximum extent permitted under Zimbabwean law and applicable international laws.

Consent Non-Requirement

Because public service vehicles operate in public, carry passengers, and are visible to the general public at all times, BantuSphere is not required to obtain explicit consent from drivers, vehicle owners, operators, or associations to collect, store, or publish data related to the operation of such vehicles.

This includes but is not limited to: photographs of the vehicle exterior, number plates, route information, colour, seating capacity, publicly accessible pick-up points, and operational status.

Defamation & Bad Faith Complaints

BantuSphere reserves the right to decline complaints or takedown requests made in bad faith, including attempts to conceal public service activities, mislead passengers, prevent route transparency, or interfere with public access to transport information.

Global Applicability

These terms apply globally. Users and operators acknowledge that BantuSphere is accessible internationally and may process and publish data in jurisdictions outside Zimbabwe.

By using the platform, all parties consent to the collection, storage, transfer, and publication of publicly observable transport-related data across international jurisdictions, subject to applicable laws.

Data Review & Correction Option

Operators may request correction of inaccurate factual information. Evidence may be required. BantuSphere reserves the right to accept or reject corrections based on verification standards.

No Inference of Endorsement

The presence of a kombi, driver, operator, or route on BantuSphere does not constitute endorsement, approval, certification, or guarantee by BantuSphere.
